Cousin, Will and daughter, Lauren, followed the Smitanic into its site at Trailside RV park. Hugs were exchanged as the RV was set up and the $.25 tour proceeded. Dinner was at Will's with the kids with more visiting and planning for the next few days.
The next day Will led a brief tour of KC including the infamous Chicken and Pickle establishment, where you can reserve a pickleball court for your party and order food and drink while you play. What a concept! Next stop was a very busy brewery and then a local winery.
The highlight was being part of the observation gallery for Lauren’s high school state golf tournament were she was one of 99 participants. The day was chilly, but layers of warmth, a hilly course and some sunshine made it a very pleasant stroll around the 18 holes. She ended up placing 12th overall as a junior and was very happy with her success.
Taylor was home from college so he and Will provided the witness signature on the 2 nomad’s absentee ballots! This allowed the Nomad’s the time needed to get the $.50 postage attached to each ballot and be mailed long before the deadline. Go Vote! It was great to see Will and both the kids and be able to share some special family time with them.
